Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off
Back for its 39th year, the balloon festival will be held at Memorial Park this weekend from September 4-7. There will be a mass hot-air balloon ascension, a wake boarding exhibition, performances by Wings of Blue parachutists, and of course plenty of food, concessions, and live entertainment. The best part? Admission is free for the whole family!
Commonwheel Artists Weekend Art Festival
This art festival has been around for forty-one years, and it's easy to see why it's so popular. Participants will be able to pursue over one hundred different art and craft booths incredible (and affordable) artwork. This great family-friendly event will be held September 5-7. Admission is free to this festival as well.
Light The Night Air Show
This incredible air show will be held on Friday, September 4th at 6:00 PM and promises to be an amazing event. General admission ranges from $25-$50. Tickets can only be purchased online in advance, which you can do here. Ticket price will include a light meal, seating, the air show, and a fireworks finale. For the avid golfers in your family, there will also be an accompanying golf tournament held that afternoon.
Murder Mystery Dinner Show
This unique murder mystery dinner show is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a fun, interactive event. The actors in the show will be dressed just like all the other patrons, and it will be up to everyone else to decide who is an actor and who is just another patron. A prize will be awarded to the person who solves the crime! The play will be held September 4-7 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Antlers Hilton Hotel. Ticket prices are $49.95 and up.
Labor Day Vintage Baseball Game
Your whole family will love slipping back in time and enjoying a good, old-fashioned baseball game. Colorado Springs' own Camp Creek Cloud Busters will compete against Denver's Colorado Territorial All-Stars for the win, and they're asking for you to come cheer them on. The game will be held on September 7th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with first pitch at 1:00. Bring your own picnic and purchase a cold cream soda or root beer at the Heritage Shop. It should be a lot of fun!
